Golden Palms Pool House

Disaster waiting to happen. Positive: Nothing to like about this place. If I could give it zero stars i would. It was the weekend of our wedding. We were told we could check in early. Turned up to find it hadn't been cleaned since the last guests. When i complained to gold coast accommodations who run the bookings they said i shouldn't have asked to check in early. Pretty mich blamed anyone they could except themselves for their poor organisation. Then we discovered that the property has a tennant that rents out the front which is not in the description. One door didn't even lock so anyone could have access the house if they tried. Then handle of the dstaker door to the pool area broke off completely on the 2nd night and when taking a shower in the main bathroom it flooded out into the ceiling space and there was water running down the walls downstairs in the bedroom and out the lights in the dining room. This was still somehow ok for us to continue our stay in their eyes. I Was still refused a full refund by the property management which was total BS in my opinion. Booking.com is pretty much useless as well in trying to look after the customer. Apparently we're getting a refund for 1 night but they took off the cleaning fees for the total and added it back in after the refund. Why should we have to pay any cleaning bill for that. Shouldn't have had to pay anything at all for the pleasure of the most disruptive none relaxing weekend of our lives. Didn't need the stress and all the discomforts on our wedding weekend but who really cares about that hey. Needless to say the "CEO" of gold coast accommodations Ryan is pretty unprofessional and lacks people skills. He couldn't care less about the customers or the properties he runs. Booking.com is difficult to deal with for complaints and refunds as they have to get approval from the property managers and of course they don't want to refund anyone. So yeah, zero stars! Negative: The girl who lived at the front was nice. Other than that nothing to like about this house or the people that run it.

Positive: Location, size nice and spacious , outdoor area Negative: It’s a great property however it is evident that the property requires some attention and maintenance inside and outside . Lounge was stained, windows were dirty, floors needed a good mop, requires regular general maintenance and updates

House was dirty, grounds were poorly maintained, fair few things in the house didnt work not worth the money
